MANIACAL MONDAY? HOW TO SET THE TONE FOR THE WEEK AHEAD.
I can usually tell when people don’t care about me. I think it’s safe to say that most people could care less. It’s nothing personal so I don’t take it personal.
The world does not revolve around me. Insignificance is the freedom of an invisibility cloak. I only matter when I use the talents God gave me. Kindness is a talent.
I am a kind person who does not always feel like being kind. Today was one of those mornings. Today I wanted to put someone in their place. I wanted to tell that person a thing or two, but I stopped myself. I said nothing and I sat down to write.
It’s Monday. The day I set my intentions for the week. I have a consultation with a potential new client tomorrow. She is a Class of 2022 Senior. I am already starting to book for summer and fall. BUSY season will soon be here.
“Your book writing needs to be a hobby, unless you can find a way to make it lucrative,” my dad warned me. “The profit margins on book sales are low Amber. Photography has always been your money maker,” he reminded me as if I am squandering an opportunity.
“If you want to make ten-million dollars with a rubber chicken you will need to focus on money making endeavors and always listen to your father. Your dad knows everything.”
My dad knows almost everything. He doesn’t have a clue how to make ten-million dollars with a rubber chicken, but I do. He is right though. It is time for me to shift my focus, while remaining focused. My photography business is a part of my ten-million dollar plan. It is currently the most important part.
I absolutely love photographing high school seniors. They are the young and beautiful. I have an absolute blast on my photo shoots. They are always filled with laughter and amazing energy. They are fun. They are vibrant. They are the best memories made. If I had to choose one genre of photography to put my focus on it would be high school senior portraits and then weddings, newborn, family, and business. In otherwords, I struggle with narrowing my focus.
I want to make sure I nail my consultation and earn a new client tomorrow. I need to take the time today to get myself dialed in for both the consultation and the upcoming Class of 2022 senior season. I also need to…
